SOHO, A PORTRAIT
As described by Alfred Stieglitz when talking of the 300 plus images he did of Georgia O'Keefe, "a portrait should be a record of a person's entire experience". This is a portrait of Soho, NYC and a project which continues.
I’ve been photographing New York City for many years and watched gentrification continuously change the city. I am diligently and passionately capturing time, and a sense of history of the place as if you can feel it…the people who lived, worked, created, thrived and died there. I do this in whole and in part, with cityscapes and intimate vignettes.
