Muerte Blanca or White Death, as I was told by a Mazatlán native, is how they say 'crossfade' . The crossfade in American slang is when one has achieved the perfect mix of being both drunk and stoned simultaneously, possibly resulting in a black out.
I was drunk with capturing images of my time at sea and stoned off the rich culture that Mexico had to offer, there may have been a possibly of some beers and ceveiche as well.
I relate this project to its more literal translation, a white death. A death to an old way of thinking and living. Understanding the path of least resistants, and to follow it. My time at sea was inviting, rough and with out a doubt a life changing experience.
