The photographs document subjective state of psyche, certain aspect of it, which I would compare to mythological archetype of woman figure. She plays important role in life of a man, whose half body is paralysed. The female element inspires him and gives him "force vital". In this story about fighting physical aspect of life, being locked in body and finally transcendenting, black and white contrasts describe oposites, the figures within psyche, two elements, playing a game with each other, material and mental, physical and non physical. It is story about living two realities and being without a skin, going in, discovering contradictions, dislocations, as well as discovering within self. The body is used to visualise transgression of the border between photographer and photographed, being part of it. I try to ask question about duality of human and how much we can free ourselves from physical body and transcend. The late pictures are composed with archival ones, rearanged, to tell intimate story for which I recall the myth of "Amor and Psyche".
