Asmara

Asmara the capital of Eritrea, a country with a repressive government, was named 2017 a Unesco World Heritage Site.Colonised by Italy from 1882, designed as “La Piccola Roma” and the industrial center for the administrative territory of Italian East Africa under Benito Mussolini until 1947. Asmara combines today the most varying movements of modernist architecture in its original state in an ensemble.
