DIDI-Scaring The Winter Away
Project info

Residents of the Croatian village Gljev near Sinj are still keeping with the annual carnival tradition. The Day of celebration begins with a procession of noisy, colorful, unruly rams known as the Didi or the Grandparents. On their heads Didi wear sheep skins that can be 1.5 meters high. On their waists they carry bells. By chiming and jumping on their 30 kilometers long walk, the Didi chase off the winter and celebrate the coming of spring.
