My primary goal has been to create images with impact, balance and high dynamic range. I strive for strong inter-play between viewer and pictorial space. I search for drama through scale, spacial tension, and tonal dynamics. I am attracted by dark and mysterious places and motion. If I could capture the air around my subjects, I would be content. Generally, I love the power of black and white and low saturation images. I am attracted by the mystery and emotion that I can create with this medium. Lately, I have been shooting in the West Indies with an emphasis on portraiture. I attempt to render the inner strength, grace and nobility of my subjects. I am searching for a certain gestalt that captures my attention and keeps me engaged and coming back for more.
