I have always loved Fairy Tales. So much so that as an adult I bought again the books from my childhood to reread the stories that intrigued me and made me feel safe. In Fairy Tales the good always wins in the end. The path to the end is a scary one but magical things will happen along the way. The world is never just what it seems to be at first glance.
For most of my adult life I have had to deal with generalised anxiety disorder. To me the world often is a scary place. No specific trigger is required, just opening my eyes in the morning is enough.
One way of dealing with this anxiety is for me to try and see the world in a different light, to capture the sort of magical stories that offered an escape in my childhood.
Each photo gives a glimpse of a story, like opening a book at random. You imagine what happened before and wonder where the story will end. And in the end good always triumphs.
