BULLET IN THE SAND

This image is a select from an in progress book project about a New York City neighborhood that borders the Atlantic Ocean. This project explores growing up in an inner city in the context of a seaside community. These images seek to observe the complexity of the growing up within this intersection of lives caught between the dreams, as represented by the beach and amusement park, and realities of living within the harshly poetic life of the projects.
