Charak Festival- a festival for self-suffering

Charak festival is a folk festival held in West Bengal, India during the last two days of the last month of Bengali calendar, Chaitra. This festival is dedicated to the pre-Aryan lord Shiva, and people believe that they will reach to Lord Shiva through self-suffering.
