Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago between mainland Norway and the North Pole. It's one of the world’s northernmost inhabited areas.
The pictures were taken in July, the average temperature was 5 Celsius degrees and the sun was visible 24/24.
The main settlement is Longyearbyen, a former small coal-mining town.
Well known for it's wild life (bears, foxes, birds...), it's Northern Lights, the Svalbard offers spectaculars landscapes also.
The main tourist attraction is Pyramiden, a former Russian coal-mining settlement closed in 1998.
