This series is a project about homeless people surviving under the bridges of I-75 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The hardest part of documenting the photo-essay was getting inside the environment and being allowed to shoot without interrupting the subjects. However, as I frequently made visits under the bridges and got acquainted with the homeless people I have discovered not only the dark and neglected side in our neighborhood, but also beauty and humanity amongst people. Many people turn their heads away, close our eyes and pretend that these desperate people do not exists in our society.
I felt the urge to start this project when I heard a few years ago on the local news about homeless man frozen to death in winter.
