The light of the moment

Being passionate about photography and attracted to cinema, I made my first short film at the age of 17. Cinematographic scenes, frames per second. Without an actor and in the natural settings of life. The optimism in every picture reveals a ‘joie de vivre” when I walk in a certain alley, in a town or on a beach. I ‘ve been there and I enjoyed the scene without directing it. The architecture of lights is essential in my work. No flash. I use the sunlight or the existing artificial light and play with the shadows and the atmosphere of the environment. Some pictures have a strong geometry. It’s an automatism I learned at a young age. All these pictures are taken with a HASSELBLAD XPAN., films 400 ASA or 3200 ASA (Kodak or Ilford films)
