The Hill-Stead Museum was designed by one of the country’s first female architects, Theodate Pope Riddle (1867–1946), as a retirement home for her parents. It houses the Pope family's world class art collection that includes works by Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, James McNeill Whistler, Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, and other notable artists. Available for architectural, editorial and commercial use.
