In 1993 I was approached by Tania Blanck, who was the communications manager of the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm. The hospital celebrated its 50th anniversary and they wanted to do a photo documentary of their work. I was given free hands and spent a couple of months wandering around with my camera, visiting the different wards, research labs, and other departments. The hospital printed a book with about 100 of the photos. A number of the photos are now part of the collections of Karolinska Institute. Some of them also ended up in the Nobel Museum’s permanent exhibition in Stockholm.
