IMAGES OF NORTHERN RUSSIA

In 2013 I visited St. Petersburg and Northern Russia (Karelia) with the administrators of a British charity to look at their projects there. We spent several days in Karelia looking at a project before travelling across the White Sea to visit the Solovetsky Monastery. I have not included photographs relating to the charity aspect of the trip. The monastery formed part of the Soviet prison and labour system (Gulag) 1926-1939.
