The Great Masters Project re-interprets great masterworks by painters like Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael, Boticelli, Vermeer, Goya, Manet, etc., and adapt them to the 21st. Century by introducing satirical elements that belongs to the Western “pop” culture, which has became a global phenomenon, regardless the part of the world we’re living in, being almost impossible to escape from its influence. It also wants to create connections between great pictorial icons and photography, through elements like the usage of black and white, but taking into consideration those aspects inherited from painting, like composition and classical lighting techniques.
