West Texas in Color

These photographs were taken with a Nikon N80, a 50mm lens and Lomography CR 100 E-6 film. Sadly I can no longer get this film , which I feel captures the intense light and strong colors of West Texas in winter: the pinks at dawn, golds at dusk and the blue sky at midday. These images represent the human element in this harsh landscape. From the Terlingua Graveyard, where many of the buried died as a result of the mercury mining in the town to the controversial art installation of Prada Marfa, just west of Valentine on US 90. This is West Texas in Color.
