And then there was Silence
London 14th June 2017. Grenfell Tower.
I went there to help.
There were hundreds of people in the streets offering their help and bringing all goods needed for the survivors to the collections centers.
Hundreds of people coming, going and working hard and fast in an hot summer afternoon.
There was a surreal silence.
Our eyes talked to each others.
Our eyes were looking also at the tower that in the late afternoon started to burn again.
We had tears in our eyes, thinking about all the people who lived in the Tower.
Some of them were in the streets, some of them not, missing.
The street was our new home now.
We were all together there, helping and taking care about each other.
There was humanity and kindness.
We were One.
Like all human beings should be, always.
