after something more than 1 century of existence and after a few years of being in disuse this place is today immersed in a process of debate between citizens and administration to rethink its future
in an attempt to facilitate decision-making the administration has opened for a time this penitentiary for citizens to visit
when it was built at the beginning of the 20th century, the city was quite far from the place and little by little it was approaching until arriving at the very edge of the enclosure
today that place that was conceived for the social reintegration of those who were sentenced to prison terms for reasons motivated by infractions to the law suffers in its own spatial identity that for which it was conceived and is debated between its possible demolition or be reinserted in the city to contribute to a memory that is not to be erased
this project shows the feeling of this ephemeral permanence to express this appropriation of the content and its experiences in relation to both the space and the feelings of those who populated it
while the spheroramas in black and white show this rictus of the coexistence with the global space, the three frontal images and color are this claim of identity of those that remained there and that by way of 3 suspensive points proclaims that this history should not be erased of collective memory
