Chrominance / Luminance
Project info

In videography, chrominance refers to the portion of the signal corresponding to the color information, while the luminance indicates its luminous portion. In line with my recent video works, this photo series questions the materiality as well as the immateriality of the digital image. On each image, a sample such as a fictitious horizon line is taken and magnified to extract a matrix of pixels composing a light and colored wave, revealing an abstract landscape, a reflection on the concomitant nature of electronic image and pictorial composition.
