In this Self-Portrait Photography Series, I depicted isolated personae in regret, resentment and sorrows.

I made the overall mood of the picture like a static portrait, although childlike painting is covering the costume and party mask. Painting could be seen as a movement of emotions that cannot be verbally expressed.

The title is taken from the last book of Jean-Jacques Russo, the man who was blamed, exiled, and isolated in his later life. I wrote the short phrases inspired by Rebert Walser’s several short stories including “Walk”. I believe that true emotion contained in his novel is sorrowful loneliness of a person who is taking a walk alone.
