Portraits of Owls

I`ve been banding Owls for over 20 Years now. It is all about Nature Conservation. We build bird houses for them and do the researching by marking them. It is important especially nowadays that there are lot of different species in the Nature. The Owls are at the top of the Food Chain. They are wise, beautiful and mysterious birds that are active in the night time. So it is difficult to even see them ever in a lifetime. Concerning bird banding, I have a change to see them close. In my Photos I want to show their mystery. When I look into their eyes, it feels like they are watching back with their wise face, black strong eyes. The Photos are Portraits of Owls. I also try to find similarities to the portraits taken of people. Same similarities are found on them; the look, composite, lightning, mood etc. Nowadays it is not taken for granted that these fine species still live in our Nature. By taking pictures of them, I want to spread the knowledge about them, how beautiful species they are. And we should protect the Nature, the Owls.
