The "Zohra" tour, first female Afghan orchestra

Zohra est le premier orchestre exclusivement féminin et professionnel d'Afghanistan. Les jeunes étudiantes âgées de 12 à 19 ans, de l'ANIM, Afghan National Music School, à Kaboul, ont intégré l'orchestre Zohra en 2016. Le Dr Sarmast directeur de l'école et fondateur de Zohra, veut valoriser les musiciennes professionnelles, dans un Afghanistan encore très réticent à la présence des femmes sur la scène. Néanmoins les afghans, férus de musique se laissent peu à peu conquérir par cet orchestre qui joue tant de la musique classique occidentale que afghane. Zohra a été invité par le World Economic Forum, à Davos, pour le concert de clôture 2016, une vitrine mondiale, qui visait à mettre en lumière cet orchestre courageux, ces jeunes filles intrépides. Cette série photo, suit la tournée de l'orchestre de Davos à Berlin. Les coulisses, les moments de détentes et de gloires. Une aventure humaine incroyable, un espoir pour un pays qui tente de se reconstruire après des décennies de guerres.
