In early 2015 me and the chef Esben Holmboe Bang started an ambitious project together. Our aim was to kind of set a new benchmark for modern cook books. Esben´s restaurant called Maaemo, located in Oslo, was awarded three Michelin stars during the time we were shooting the book so that motivated us to aim even higher. We shot almost for two years all together and did multiple hiking trips in the most beautiful Norwegian nature, spent countless hour in the action of the restaurant and also shot over hundred recipe shots. This wide series of photos then made our book and it was released in February 2017. We are very proud of the outcome and we think that we really achieved something special.
