Homeland

This selection of images are from a long term project on Frankfurt and from a series in Berlin, cities which have been undergoing immense changes in recent years. Since the beginning of the eighties I've been taking pictures on the streets of Frankfurt. My aim is to capture a feeling for the times and to show a facet of Germany with its mixture of modern and traditional - the contrast between the somewhat bland urban landscape and the homeliness of a fairground.
