Winter forest by night. I'm from the remote village from Finnish Lapland, born and raised in the middle of the woods. Winter has been always my favourite season of the year. I spent 15 years in a Southern cities and kind of forgetting whole nature aspect in my life. I think it was more like I took it for granted. 2011 I felt a strong desire to move back to North and after that I started taking pictures of nature. In this project I have been exploring the local woods where I'm from and captured the beauty of the cold nights. There is something magical in winter. Silence, cold, the sparkling snow and only you with the universe. 2014- 2017
