There Is No Such Place
Project info

In the past a swimming pool and its surroundings were a meeting place full of life, fun and recreation. I remember it very well from my childhood. Now this area looks completely different: deserted, abandoned and neglected. Only hardly recognisable traces of the past remained.

I have tried to work out the place itself and my memories. Therefore this series of images became a kind of a dialogue between me and locations I’ve visited a number of times. However on the basis of visible phenomena the reference point were the mental images I found inside of me. This project provided an opportunity to reflect on two issues: object and subject of photography.
