The Wall in East Jerusalem

Jerusalem has been the focal point of the Middle East conflict for decades. It is particularly in the occupied territory of East Jerusalem and the surrounding West Bank that the conflict has shaped the cityscape in a most disturbing and depressing way. Palestinian residents live side-by-side with Israeli settlers, in hostile neighbourhood, separated and cut off by the Wall, under very different living conditions and without any prospect of reconciliation and peace.
