Italian Market Revisited
I visited Philadelphia's Italian Market 20 years ago this year! At that time I photographed everything in infrared Black and White. Now twenty years later I am revisiting these streets and while all of the faces have changed, the traditions are still alive and thriving under these tattered and torn awnings. The store fronts and sidewalks are lined with pallet tables and people selling their goods. The same scales are still there that weighed my tomatoes and beans so many years ago, it’s just new hands doing the work.
As a photographer and artist, I love to tell stories with my images.
