Land Sea Air
Land Sea Air is an work in progress that explores the fragile state of the U S National Wildlife Refuge system. This system of wetlands was originally designed to be a flyway for migrating birds yet has become a secondary level of National Parks- some covering thousands of acres- for people to recreate with nature. These images focus primarily on the John Heinz , Forsythe and Bombay Hook Nation National Wildlife Refuges all located near or in large urban center in the Northeast.
My goal is challenge notions of scale in searching for the sublime while contemplating governmental policies that seem head strong in tampering with delicate ecosystems where one wrong move could turn the sublime into disaster.
