Li lost both of his arms in an industrial accident. Support from the Disabled Persons' Federation allowed him to open a shop, not only providing practical support but also helping him to integrate into the local community.

Li has recently married. He and his wife have a daughter, who receives extra tuition from a CBR field worker. The family now run a successful business in Kunming, China.

Li had an accident at the age of two, which caused osteomyelitis and, eventually, the loss of his left leg. His artificial limb allows him to lead an active life and he can still ride his motorcycle.

Xiong's leg was badly injured in an industrial accident at a factory. Support from the local Disabied Persons' Federation has allowed him to retrain as a farmer and provided the skills required to manage an orchard on his farm.

Feng suffers from cerebral palsy and autism but, with the support of his parents, the CBM field workers and the local Disabled Persons' Federation, he has learned to walk.

Tam Yang suffers from cerebral palsy and has visual, hearing, physical and intellectual impairments. The CMB have provided counselling and guidance to Tam's parents and have contributed to a comprehensive rehabilitation plan in collaboration with Tam's doctors, extended family and the local Disabled Persons' Federation.

Despite suffering from cerebral palsy, Tam has been able to make significant progress. He receives daily physical therapy from his mother and CBM filed workers. His mother says, "No matter what happened to Tam, we would never give up".

Wang suffers from disabilities caused by polio but is able to run a successful repair shop and retains mobility courtesy of a three-wheeled chair provided by the local Disabled persons' Federation.

Even though Wang, who had polio, cannot easily visit his customers, they bring electrical items to his shop for repair. The shop was donated by the local Disabled Persons' Federation. Wang's son is studying at university on a  scholarship provided by the DPF.

Duan is described as a "local legend" by friends and neighbours. He became blind at the age of 40 years after suffering glaucoma. He said "I felt bad because I could not see. I felt troubled because I was unable to do simple tasks". As a result of various therapeutic services, Duan now walks with a cane and has a cleaning job at a local college, where his daughter works as a teacher.
