Woman Abscond

A series of women primed for escape, Woman Abscond explores the split moment of exposing oneself in order to escape from one place before disappearing into another. While it's not clear (or important) what they are absconding from, as these women emerge from the white backgrounds, they brace themselves as they step into the unknown. Through the use of digitally manipulated self portraits, I explore these protagonists in the moment of their escape, the moment of no return as they abscond.
