These portraits are from five different series I have made with my daughter over the last 13 years which develop and discuss what it is to be a mother of a daughter and a daughter of a mother. Our identities blend; in some cases literally as sometimes I place her head on my body, other times we are independent, I use objects and clothing to suggest my mother. I'm very interested in light used as a character in my photographs, and clothing as identifying structures.
I believe in portraits which are a part of a collaborative narrative, like a play, in order to discuss ideas I wish to isolate.
I would love to shoot portraits editorially but don't have any connections and would love suggestions in how to approach and whom.
