The word > Imago < refers to the inner, mostly unconscious mental image of a certain person, which the mind remembers after the encounter in reality. It also describes the last phase of an insects metamorphoses and symbols the last act of breaking out of the cocoon.
For me, it mostly described the overlapping between the self and, how philosophy calls it, the subject - the imagination of a person and their appearance.
To visualize this overlapping, I experimented with different ways of developing an image, bending the borders between photography and painting. The resulting images dealing with the representation of the human figure in photography, trying to find a way to close the gab between our reality and our perception, between the visible and the unseen.
