In 2007, I photographed three homes designed by the controversial Modernist architect Paul Rudolph, just days prior to their demolitions. The resulting images capture a state of Modernism few people have witnessed, revealing the grace of these homes as they stood in defiance of abandonment and "progress". These photographs document the more abstract/intangible aspects of architecture, as well as the changing American architectural landscape. Six years later, the book has finally ben published and Rudolph's work is still in jeopardy.
