Macrocosm and microcosm” is an ancient Greek schema of seeing the same patterns reproduced in all layers of the cosmos, on the largest scale (universe-level) all the way to the smallest scale (sub-atomic or even metaphysical-level). From the structure of a molecule to the planetary movements, everything seems to be governed by the same natural laws and behaviors, as if every creation is interconnected with all the others.

With the above idea as my starting point, combined with my deep respect and love for nature, I wandered photographically through the animal kingdom amidst the infinitely small and the very large, observing objects from tiny bones to wild animals.

Believing that a work of art can offer the optical “equivalent” of how an artist perceives and experiences life, I photograph subjects both as conduits to my emotional state or as expressions of the meaning of that particular subject for me, at that specific moment.
