Here and Now
Project info

"There would be nothing more obvious, more tangible than the present moment. And yet it eludes us completely."
-Milan Kundera

This project is in memory of my father, who taught me to embrace each day. It’s about claiming graspable, heightened moments, when life opens up, time expands and some essential truth is revealed. It’s an exercise in living in the wonder of now. I pursued this elusive quest over three years, from Maine to Rhode Island, Martha’s Vineyard, New York, Savannah, New Orleans and Northern California. My desire is to make pictures that transcend being photographs to become experiences—alternate world’s that exist in an eternal present, which the viewer is invited to enter.
