Uraman Takht is a city in Uraman Takht Rural District, Uraman District, Sarvabad County, Kurdistan Province, Iran. Uraman is a mountainous region located within the provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah in western Iran (Kurdistan and Kermanshah Provinces) and in estern Iraq. The inhabitants of Hawraman are Kurdish people that speak Hewrami.

The festival of Pir Shalyar is an old traditional ceremony in Kurdistan. It is held in the middle of spring and middle of winter. The celebration is held in three stages, each in a day of three consecutive days. Pir Shaliyar is believed to have cured a princess and married her, the ceremony marks their marriage.
In this celebration, villagers play Daf, sacrify many sheeps, perform mystic dances, recite prayers and make an special food called "Holloshineh".
Every year the ritual is held in the presence of thousand of people of the province and a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
Despite rainfall and snowfall, people participated in the ritual wholeheartedly.
