Submission

I am passionate about themes that explore & express a truth that is often hidden from view- either literally or in our minds. I am interested mostly in exploring the lives of women from minority/underrepresented groups in society i.e. homeless, LGBT, disabled, & older women. With these images I wished to capture the women in their natural habitats with their faces not fully in view, and the presence of metaphorical barriers e.g. behind windows, walls, glass etc. to represent how women often hide themselves away, hence 'hidden in plain site'. Some of the images have been taken on 35mm film and developed in the dark room to give the desired effect.
