From the series "Prospect, Refuge, Hazard"
Conceived in the optimistic ‘60s, and born into the more difficult 1970s, the now middle-aged Wellington urban motorway is the linking character in this series of urban landscapes. When stripped of its monumentality it somehow exhibits native Gen X sensibilities: apathetic, resilient, cognisant of its vulnerability. An uncertain future awaits.
Part of an ongoing urban landscape series.
These are all "real" locations, contextualized by the photographic process - all digital images, digitally stitched from multiple frames.
