Submission

My Name is Maureen Rouge. I am a studio based photographer. There is a lot of self-reflection in my images. I usually create photographs related to dreams, or memories of things I have lived and how my brain wants to remember and romanticize them. I want to use story telling, through still images, to communicate a feeling or a situation that can mean different things to the viewer. Although I use digital capture and processing of my images, I am greatly inspired by great photography masters like Helmut Newton, Irving Penn and many more; this is mostly why I love to make black and white images, it gives them that surreal and nostalgic impression.
