V Van G is a post-compressionist 'painter', Digital images are compressed to maximise storage. This degrades image quality, errors appear. V uses these glitches to create ‘painterly effects’. Using computer and mouse, the universal machine of contemporary life, he performs millions of clicks, attempting to ‘express’ his obsessions.
