I have been a student of photography since my first camera was purchased in NYC in 1968 while attending Columbia College, Columbia Univ. and published first photo in NY Times weeks later without ever having tutelage or studying photography. I am currently abroad much of the time and pursuing study of photography and educating about photography.
I have have taken over an estimated 2 million photos, more, than 95% digital,. have been a civilian photographer in the Vietnam war, and other tumult that marked the 1060s, and briefly a captive in the Russian-Ukrainian (undeclared) war more recently as it was starting.
Photography defines my present life, though I had a long career with great success as a lawyer. ending decades ago.
This is a small collection of photos I have particular fondness for. These are only a few of hundreds of images that might be submitted, to a LensCulture.com contest. of equal to better quality. .
I shoot color and black and white, though I am best known for classical humanistic 'street' black and white.
