My work explores poetic connections between ourselves and the cycles and rhythms of diverse ecosystems and weather patterns in order to reflect upon our mutable, evolving relationship with the land. White, was shot during severe weather conditions during a historic, record-breaking storm that took place in the American Midwest in April 2018. These record snowfalls are linked to climate change. Warmer conditions are leading to more moisture in the air and significantly increased annual precipitation and extreme weather events.
