I met Rimaldas Vikšraitis in his home at a remote Lithuanian village far into the south-west. After a few hours’ drive and some path finding (Google Maps won’t lead you there) I took a stand in front of a small brick house with generally dim light and one bright beacon that Vikšraitis had put on so it would be possible to find it. His works were shocking and inspiring me for long time and I was eager to meet the man behind the (sur-)real madness. After leaving the car behind I approached the door surrounded by cold, wooden fences and intense dog barking. Finally, a small crooked figure emerged from the porch. It was Vikšraitis himself.
