I live in Denver, CO. The wages are low and the cost of housing is high. Every day, I confront the nearly impossible task of supporting a family of five on one income. Meanwhile, the news is a seamless loop of mass shootings, hate crimes and political corruption.
This isn't a project that I set out to make. These images are a collection of moments that I photographed incidentally over the last four years. I assembled them together to say something about this place that we occupy right now - indefinitely suspended somewhere in between hope and dread.
