A Week in my Mother's Lİfe

This was my first attempt to document a significant event -only for myself and my family tho-. My mother has undergone a serious operation in April 2018. THis operation had a big effect on me right from the start. Therefore, I decided to document it. Unfortunately I could not finish it because I had to fly back to home one day before my mother was discharged from the hospital. The series was taken within a week’s time. Selection was made among 318 photos. Only LR’s preset B&W conversion was applied with very little exposure corrections. I had planned to conclude the series with a color family photo at home; will do it next time I am home. I am influenced by the great photo-journalists of the black-and-white era. Especially Ara Güler and HCB. I have always been a guy that takes a good (probably mediocre for the real photographers) photograph every now and then, but I have the urge to do more with my camera. THis is my first try to tell a story with my camera.
