These photographs were born from the 1904 book by W. H, Hudson, GREEN MANSIONS. In this story, a man who is lost in a South American rain forest, comes upon a young girl who speaks to birds in an unknown tongue. She is otherworldly in a dress of spider silk. Tragically, neither can live in the world of the other.
It is this yearning to blend nature and civilization that is my own deep, unattainable desire.
