Life, not Death, of the Department Store
How to Stop the Death of the Department Store?
A mutual concern about the representation of ageing in Western society combined with worries about the death of the high street took us to Roys of Wroxham . We investigated how a physical analogue store has managed to defy economic expectations and not only thrive but also expand. What we found was that shopping here is truly a social activity and meets the specific needs of its client groups. This is no corporate, multinational conglomerate but a family run business, "Roys the worlds largest village store"!
