L’Ecume des Jours
Project info

L’Ecume des Jours, by Boris Vian is a melancholic and surrealist love story, based in 1950s Paris, between Colin, a rich young idler, passionate about the saxophone and Jazz and Chloe, an innocent, fragile young girl.
In this hallucogenic world, she is diagnosed with a water lily growing in her lung, a metaphor for cancer, which can only be cured by being perpetually surrounded by flowers.
Boris Vian was passionate about Jazz and African American culture, and these are aspects I chose to highlight in my shoot.
